House of Kirby is a Brisbane-based Interior Design Studio defined by quiet luxury and refined minimalism.

Led by Principal Designer Rachael Kirby, the studio’s work is guided by proportion, materiality, and the art of restraint. Our philosophy is shaped by the belief that design is as much about what you remove as what you choose to include. 

Each space we create is an invitation to pause, to exhale, and to live surrounded by intention and meaning.

With a background spanning construction, development, and Interior Design, Rachael brings a rare balance of creativity and technical insight to each project.

Beginning her career within one of Australia’s largest builders, she developed a deep understanding of how design intention meets buildability, and where it often falls short. This foundation shaped her belief that design integrity lies in the dialogue between concept and construction.

Rachael founded House of Kirby to redefine the design experience. One that marries aesthetics with precision, and vision with execution.

Her approach is defined by restraint, clarity, and craftsmanship. Each project is guided by proportion and materiality, resulting in homes that feel as considered as they are refined. Her lived experience ensures every design is not only beautiful on paper, but enduring in form.
