Full Internal Renovation of an original 1910 Queenslander
A Young Professional who wanted a fresh, modern look for her home that's been passed down through the generations
Being an Inner-City 1910's Queenslander, we came up against a few things, like:
- Triggering a fire rating down one side of the home because of how close it is to the boundary
- Character code requirements, meaning we had to make certain changes to the front of the home and restore it back to it's original look
- Blending the modern style, while being sympathetic to the original features of the home and considering the character code requirements
Other important aspects:
- Easy maintenance - this busy professional wanted stress-free living that didn't involve additional ongoing maintenance
- A functional Home Office
- Ample storage and functionality - ticking all the boxes, without having to add extra space.
- Conceptual Layouts
- Style Direction Boards
- Finishes Selection Boards
- Builder-Ready Specification Document
- Design Drawings
- Trade Partner Options
- On-Site Design Intent
A modernised take on an old family home, restoring and reinvigorating the original character that makes this home so special, while adding boatloads of storage and maintenance free finishes, perfect for a busy modern lifestyle.
